Scam refunds increasing lately?
Is it just me or has more refunds been getting processed lately, even on 100% as described products? Amazon is accepting petty refunds. and on top of their FBA fees during this season are pathetic. Less profit and more headaches too deal with.
I know for a fact some of these refunds are a scam as i requested amazon to dispose damage product to my address: and customer replaced product with used one.
Shame amazon just doesn't really care to protect sellers

This was one of the issues that led us to switching to FBM from FBA as Amazon would send us boxes of customer damaged, used and swapped returns, and then the FBA sourcing cost was incorrect.
Surprise Surprise, once we switched to FBM and managed our own returns, customer's wouldn't send stuff back when they are told it has to be returned in Brand New unused condition or be forced to pay a restocking fee...return authorization hits the 31 day mark, customer hasn't shipped, close off the return and move on.

I have over 40 fraudulent purchase/returns in the last two months alone. When I try to report these orders and try to validate the order numbers in section: report abuse - An abuse issue that is not addressed by the other topics in this menu, I get this message these "orders are not associated with my account". When I reached out to seller support, I was told to report by using: Another seller account is attempting to harm my business (including offensive contributions, false reviews and malicious seller feedback)
I did. they all got rejected. So I called back.....and get this
This time the girl on the phone was just not interested in dealing with it, she simply repeated the previous suggested solution. She actually got frazzled and "hung-up" on me...so i thought. But i could tell she didn't hang up as I could still hear noise in the background. I stayed on the line for about 20 minutes like this. then I eventually hung closed the call myself.
Seller Support is not interested in helping sellers these days. They leave you hanging time and time again. This is not the first time the call drops misteriously, has happened many times recently. Seems when they're not interested they just put the headphones down and wait for you to hang up, so they look better.
I was waiting for a fart sound or something better, but I didn't get that lucky
Maybe next call :)

I can accept that people make mistakes, whatever, but it's the damaged and non-returnable food items that amazon is accepting returns on that really grinds my gears... food items are all well within expiration guidelines/described properly and it's just cases of buyer remorse

Absolutely. They need to find a fair way. Product not as expected. Did not read the description thoroughly. Must return item in sellable condition; otherwise, no refund. Any other way encourages scamming.

had almost $3000 worth of items bought from one person returned with items valued in total of $5

It's really getting out of control. Even when you catch them doing it multiple times Amazon does nothing but refund them anyway
Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7
Yea, but then you can open up a fraud investigation with the RCMP online anti fraud center, and file a small claims case if you feel the need to.

Scammers looking for free product, and than scammers writing negative feedback. Between amazon not actually following the return policy for 3rd party sellers, and people scamming for free product, its been a very annoying few months.
Thankfully selling enough that it doesn't effect my account health. But it just makes me look bad if someone wants to check my feedback. No one ever leaves a positive review the 99.5% of the time things go well.
