Even though the package is still in transit, but Amazon still directly refund to the customer, just because the customer filed A-to-z claim.

We have an Amazon order, order ID: 702-6368984-1374630, the order has been shipped with the tracking number: LX397965715US by stamps.com(USPS). Check the attached tracking detail.

Amazon's requested delivery date is Wed, Jun 26, 2024 PDT to Fri, Jul 12, 2024 PDT.

Now the package is still in transit, but the customer filed the A-to-z claim on Jun 17, 2024. Unfortunately, Amazon just refunded the payment to the customer directly.

We think it is very unfair to us.

We ship the item to the customer on time, and the package is still on the way to the customer's address. The customer will receive them soon.

Now, we lost both the product and money. We hope someone can help us re-investigate this case and return our money back. Thanks in advance.

What was the reason for the A2Z? They would have had to provide some justification why the claim was filed.

You need to give yourself a few days time to ship or something like this happens. Amazon believes that the seller is responsible no matter what mistakes happen on the shipping service providers end. In my 20 years of eComm I see lots of mistakes by shipping providers. You have to allow for some in your markup.
