Chargeback help?

I was just hit with an $80 debit because I lost a chargeback. Second lost chargeback in a month.

What can trigger a chargeback for an established seller using "Buy Shipping?

It seems to me the chargeback is against Amazon not the seller. Amazon tells us repeatedly its Amazon's customer.

Item not delivered, Amazon A-Z covers with buy shipping. Stolen credit card used, is on Amazon. They cover fraud.

Buyer needs to return. We liberally give refunds beyond policy when necessary. Buyer doesn't like merchandise, ok return for refund.

Buyers card was fraudulently used, again this is on Amazon.

What triggers a chargeback that isnt covered by Amazon policies?

Shouldn't Amazon cover all chargebacks.

Thank you

Hi again @Seller_qD0b68Wo456ecthat took less time than expected. :)

The Chargebacks help page in Seller Central is pretty straightforward on this manner:

As outlined in our Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement:

  • You are responsible for chargebacks filed against your account for service-related reasons, such as non-receipt of the product.
  • Amazon is responsible for any payment-related fraud chargebacks, such as stolen credit cards or other payment fraud attempts.

I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further comments or questions for me.

Thanks again,

- Danika
