A-to-Z amazon + Canada Post's strike = Gangsta's paradise !

The recent situation with canadian union of postal employees going on strike for now more than 19 days, Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee and 3rd party sellers VTR exemptions for low value products created the perfect storm and will sink many 3rd party sellers that were selling those light weighted / low value items on amazon.

Amazon's is letting 3rd party sellers face alone, waves of scamming customers , one after the other, asking for refunds for orders stuck somewhere in one of Canada Post's warehouse or Post office. Even if we send several messages to customers explaining the situation and about the fact that they will receive their order as soon as Canada Post employees comes back to work, most customers don't care, because Amazon is still sending them a message that their order is running late, and suggest them to contact the 3rd pary sellers for a refund.

These "customers" are getting their money back AND WILL GET THE PRODUCTS ORDERED FOR FREE as soon as Canada Post employees goes back to work.

Who is faulty ? It seems that...

It's not the canadian gouvernment's fault if my packages are not delivered even if they left this situation happen and did not negociate for the last 5 years with the canadian union of postal employees to renew their contract.

It's not the canadian union of postal employees' fault if my packages are not delivered even if they will receive a raise after this strike is ended,

It's not Amazon's fault if my packages are not delivered even if they took their cut and are offering VTR exemptions to 3rd party sellers,

It's not the customers fault if my packages are not delivered even if that have selected Canada Post as a carrier for their order,

It's my fault if the packages that I paid to be delivered, were not delivered !

These days, to be a 3rd party seller on amazon, you need to have the psychic ability to see in the future , what will happen in the next couple of weeks, if a carrier will stop working, otherwise be ready to lose thousands of dollars in false claims from " customers " with amazon's blessings !

Amazon is a real Gangsta's paradise !

Buyers on Amazon have been stealing from me on a weekly basis for years. Amazon has created these monster buyers who expect everything fast and for free. I get so many "never got this give me my money back" emails I've lost track.

Selling on Amazon is a sick nightmare and yes, a "Gangsta's Paradise" Amazon does nothing to track bad buyers and repeat thieves. I keep saying that an A-Z claim should equally be a strike on a buyer and 3 strikes their out. When a buyer files and A-Z claim that an item did not arrive, here in Canada at least, there is a 90% odds that they are the thief.

Hard working 3rd party sellers on Amazon are shipping their items, so when a buyer claims it did not arrive they are most likely stealing it. It is a major slap in the face to the 3rd party sellers, to tell us we are at risk of losing our selling privileges when a buyer steals from us. All Amazon has to do is look at the buyer account and see it is the 15th item they are claiming never arrived this month.

Wake up and get with reality Amazon, your buyers are abusive thieves and you have created them this way and allowed them to steal constantly from your 3rd party sellers. Track buyers A-Z claims, and their requests for refunds through messaging directly to buyers, and you will learn something, I guarantee it.

EBAY has the seller’s backs. Great job to them.

Information on the labour actions affecting Canada Post services

As the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike extends into its fourth week, Canada Post delivery services continue to face disruptions, affecting the flow of shipments across Canada. We understand this is a challenging time for both you and your customers. We're reaching out to share our response to the situation and to request your continued partnership.

To support you and your business, eBay is implementing automatic protections for the next seller standards evaluation. These include:

• Late Shipment Rate (LSR) defects

• Tracking uploaded and validated rate

• Negative or neutral feedback if tracking was uploaded and validated by the carrier

• Out of Stock cancellations

Additionally, all Item Not Received (INR) claims are now on hold, and the Estimated Delivery Dates (EDDs) for all shipments with Canada Post have been extended. These measures will ensure deliveries have enough time to be completed during the strike and will remain in effect until Canada Post resumes regular operations.

To navigate these disruptions, we recommend the following actions:

1. Maintain active listings: Keep listings active for continued visibility and sales.

2. Provide alternative shipping solutions: For outstanding orders, don’t ship with Canada Post, even if it was selected at checkout. Update your listings to incorporate alternative options like FedEx and UPS.

3. Offer local pickup: Allow buyers in your area to collect their orders in person.

4. Communicate: Inform buyers about potential delays and accommodate requests for cancellations on unshipped orders.

5. Stay updated: Regularly check the Community page for updates and consult Canada Post for information on the strike.

eBay will continue to monitor the situation and adjust guidance and protections as necessary, please keep an eye on the Community Board for further updates.

Thank you for your continued efforts and commitment to selling on eBay.
