Abuse of A-to-z Guarantee Claims

The seller shipped the item to the customer as usual, and the package arrived on time. However, the customer initiated an A to Z claim. The seller submitted evidence within the specified timeframe. The A to Z ruling: The customer reported an issue with delivery. In this case, the tracking information indicates delivered, but the customer did not receive the package. Because you provided sufficient information that proves that the order was actually received by the customer, we will not count the claim against your Order Defect Rate

All funds were transferred from the seller's account directly into the customer's pocket. Since Amazon had already confirmed the seller delivered the package on time, why did they still refund the customer? If this precedent continues, could all Amazon customers exploit this system to take advantage?

The appeal has been denied. tell me what else I can do?

Amazon policy is signature is required to confirm customer actually received the item. Leaving item at the door is not sufficient under Amazon policy as it could have been stolen

Amazon's A-to-Z Guarantee is designed to protect customers, and sometimes claims get granted even when tracking shows delivery. In your case, Amazon acknowledged you provided sufficient proof that the order was received, which is why they didn't count it against your Order Defect Rate. That's actually a positive outcome for your account health.

However, here's the reality: when a claim is granted and the appeal is denied, Amazon has made their final decision on the customer refund. The good news is your ODR wasn't impacted, but I know that doesn't help with the financial loss.

Since your appeal has been denied, here are your next steps:

If you have compelling new evidence like video footage, delivery photos showing the exact location, or a signature from the customer, you could reach out to Seller Support to see if they'll review additional documentation. However, tracking information alone typically isn't enough to overturn a decision.

You might also want to contact your shipping carrier about the lost funds, especially if you have delivery confirmation from them. Some carriers offer protection for delivered packages that result in claims.

I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but unfortunately once both the claim and appeal are denied, there aren't many additional avenues. The system is designed to balance customer trust with seller protection, though I understand it doesn't always feel fair from your perspective.

WOW, this is becoming a familiar thing. Unbelievable.

I wonder what the media would think about this skewed logic. The KEY non-logic being "Because you provided sufficient information that proves that the order was actually received by the customer"...

Now, I've seen it all

Been on Amazon for years! This is a very common thing and Amazon will always side with buyers!

Amazon needs to fix the seller protection as a lot of buyers do this as a scam> What's even worse is when you know they are lying and they leave you a bad review and Amazon also counts it against your account

Ebay is a better place to sell for seller protection.

Amazon is a joke these days when it comes to scams, its literally right in front on their face and they still don't care!

I could write a book on how to rip sellers off on Amazon. Its very getting out of hand
