Supply Chain Document? Supplier Not Providing Their Supplier detail
Hey Amazon Mods.
I am contacting regarding my clients Account: Zensbur Store for their deactivated Account!
Amazon keeps asking us for supplier's suppleir documents n invoices. We all know this is just completel against any business' privacy policy to disclose their supplier details!
Amazon is not honoring that. We have given all invoices/payment proves/legal notice etc. but Amazon still insists on this.
Why would any Supplier where they get their item from? the supplier even said that if amazon calls, they will let them know - but they wont disclose to a reseller.
Please help reinstate the account! this is completely unfair & unethical!!!!
The client is a honest business person & runs their business in good intensions. they have been selling on walmart too! but it seems amazon just doesnt want people earning at all anymore??!!?!?
MODS please help!!!!

Who are you in relation to this account? Amazon wants sellers to be able to prove the authenticity of the items they sell. If the supplier's information is not valid, then it isn't. Amazon isn't going to chase suppliers' suppliers; the owner of the account should have done his/her research prior to signing up on Amazon.

Well, as a reseller, I would darn well hope that my supplier is getting their inventory from the brand owner, otherwise how can I confirm I have a valid supply chain?
Any valid and legit supplier will completely disclose where they get their inventory from if they are authorized by the brand owner as a valid supplier.

It shouldn't be. If the distributor can't tell you or prove that they're buying from the brand owner, how do you know it's not counterfeit? Like where the heck are they buying from then?
Can the brand owner vet that they are selling to the distributor?

This isn't usually the case. A brand's website will list Retailers, not Wholesale Distributors.

Hello @Seller_uMvXvbkiMhIRb
Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues you have been attempting to address. I understand our team has made a request for the supplier information for your supplier. This will be due to them wanting to verify that your product can be traced back to the original brand or manufacturer.
What type of messaging are they currently providing? What specific information have you attempted to provide for review as of now? What type of agreement do you have set up for your products?
Please continue to provide the information you have and any updates you receive to this thread.
Best,
Atlas

Amazon is authoritarian and goes far beyond reasonable. Amazon has the attitude every supplier is a counterfeit. There are plenty of laws to protect the seller and customer. If you ask me amazon thinks it is the law.
You do not sound like a seller. If you are a lawyer, you are in the wrong place.
"Please help reinstate the account! this is completely unfair & unethical!!!!"
Not illegal. Good Luck.

In some cases that request is justified. If I buy Manuka honey from a Greek supplier to resell on Amazon it is justified that they want to see the invoice of my suppliers supplier. How else could Amazon know that I don't just sell Greek honey with a Manuka label? Manuka honey is coming exclusively from Nea Zealand and is way more expensive than other honey.
Or if I have a shady business fried who creates an invoice for me showing I bought Rolex watches, how can Amazon know that these are genuine Rolex? And so on and so on.

That's why the supplier would provide you supply chain documentation, so that you avoid civil action. If the supplier can't prove it's not counterfeit, then that's shady.
You can't just buy one and check it out, that is not the RIGHT WAY. How would you know by just looking at an item? Counterfeits are really good these days. You need documentation. There are federal government rules and laws regarding counterfeit inventory before civil action can take place. Which is what valid supply chain documentation takes care of.

There's no secrets. They're either buying from the brand owner, or they aren't.
This doesn't mean anything.
