Prices Missing

Hello, I have just contacted seller support concerning this issue. The BOLD is a copy of my exact script:

Please tell me why the price on these items (ASINs) is not reflected to customers on the listing:

----------, ----------, ----------, ----------, ----------.

I have added a screenshot of what the customer would read if my item was looked at.

I have read this of course. It sounds like I am expected to lower my price on an item that is already not particularly costly.

Is that what is expected?

Please tell me what price Amazon has 'decided' to charge for these items once in the cart of a customer.

I tried to put one in my cart just to see, and as I am the seller, it wasn't allowed. Imagine that! Not my business to see what MY items are being priced at. Let me in the loop, as they are mine.

Thank-you for assistance.

Attachments:

I left the screenshot and ASINs out of this communication.

Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks very much.

Hello, in response to my own post:

I should have added that when a customer 'clicks' on my item and adds it to the cart, they will see a price decided upon by Amazon, not me. The explanation offered to the customer comes down to: although inconvenient, Amazon reserves the right to offer a lower price than the manufacturer. When I tried adding one of my items to my cart to see the price being offered, it wouldn't allow me to add it. The end result is I don't get to know what my items are being offered for.

Some pages do not show prices on the main display page -- you have to click on the "See all buying options" button. An example: amazon.ca/dp/B00HDTQRS0

Sellers are not allowed to buy their own product directly -- to help prevent easy seller manipulation of sales, feedback and reviews. Get somone you know to put your ASIN in their cart to find out what they see. Or you can look at the page in your browser's privacy/icognito mode and put it in a cart (no need to buy).

As for your second post: Are you selling directly to amazon? -- when amazon buys from a manufacturer for resale by amazon, amazon sets the price. But when a sellers sells direct to the buyer through amazon -- the seller is the one that sets the price (adjusted by any promo/coupons the seller has set up).
