Fake reviews might end my product
I started selling on Amazon over 2 years ago, and the competition was okay at that time, but it has increased significantly over the last year. 90% of the competition comes from Chinese competitors. Competition is always good, but they can also use bad business practices to attack competitors. My agent in China said that this is a common way for competitors in China to do so.
In my case, one or more competitors pay for fake reviews on my listing because I had one of the highest ratings for my category. Several of the fake reviews claimed that to access videos, they had to provide credit card information. This makes potential customers think that I might charge them for something they didn't ask for, because why should I ask for credit card information if things come included? Potential customers might even think that I steal card information.
I contacted buyers to help them with their problem accessing videos, even though I knew that what they mentioned in the reviews are fake. I asked what the buyer did to be asked for credit card information. I only got one response from one buyer, and the buyer "fixed it" without giving any details. I can't prove that all these reviews are fake, but then I got a review for a canceled order saying exactly the same thing. This buyer was able to write a fake review mentioning the exact same thing as previous reviews without receiving the product... How can Amazon even let buyers write a review for a product they canceled??
I contacted Amazon community mail and customer support providing order number for canceled order, explaining as it is solid evidence with the canceled order posting a fake review about the same thing, but Amazon didn't do anything. Amazon should protect sellers who invest hard-earned money to start businesses on Amazon from bad actors, or only the bad actors will be left selling on the platform.
I'm losing rank and sales because of this, and I'm thinking of ending sales in the US and Canadian markets after I sell out if things do not change for the better because I can't survive attacks from competition any longer.

Hello @KROSSIL
Thank you very much for reaching out in Amazon forums, this is Lucre, and I'll be glad to assist.
I understand you're currently concerned because of negative reviews coming from a competitor, I'm so sorry to know this is impacting your business.
I understand you filed a report and provided one order ID to investigate this but didn't receive any additional information or saw any action taken against the competitor's account. Please know that when you file these reports, Amazon doesn't provide the outcome of such investigations due to privacy and confidentiality concerns.
At this point, I can go ahead and file another report on your behalf, but the same policy applies, and I won't get details from the outcome of the investigation, but I can try to help you one more time for an additional review of these practices.
Additionally, I believe I should provide more than 1 order ID for the team to consider this as an example of competitor abuse, so if you have multiple orders in impacted by these negative reviews, please share those in this thread and I'll gladly provide those on your behalf.
I'll look forward to your reply on this case.
Regards,
