High pricing errors and seller support incompetence
I am SO sick of fighting Amazon on potential high pricing errors. My pricing is fair. I send evidence. I explain why. In this case a hard to find hair item I'm selling for $40. Seller support is so lazy and never ever does their jobs, just sends the notice to change my price. I have to reopen and escalate over and over x 10 or more times for someone to actually spend 2 minutes reading my supporting documents or that have any common sense or competence.
It's infuriating that I have to beg to make a $5 profit off an item that Amazon takes $12-15 of the sale.
Is there a secret to making the seller support do their jobs or is their job to say no and only no? I have at least 10 more pricing errors and know it will take up literally 20 hours of my time because no one at Amazon will listen to reason. What can I do??

I am dealing with the same issue on a $10 item.
The FBA pick and pack fee is $5.12 alone.
There is no reference pricing.
Competitive pricing is set to half the FBA fee at $2.56, which is odd since the FBA fee is $5.12 and that doesn't even include the 15% Amazon sales commission.
No amount of common sense has prevailed in my case yet.

Amazon seller support keeps saying lower your price to the competitive price, but that means you lose $3 per item, not including Amazon sales commission or Canadian Wholesale product distributor cost. Just pay us $5.12 to ship your item FBA so that you lose $3.00 selling it at $2.56 because you gotta pay FBA $5.12 to ship it out plus taxes.
Might I remind any Amazon moderators that view this thread that limiting pricing is illegal as per the Canadian Competition Act as it would be considered price fixing?
It is 100% a glitch in the system. Amazon should not be flagging listings and shutting them down when the competitive price is lower than just the FBA fee.

Of all the horrible things Amazon does to it's sellers, this one tops my list. I've fought time and again against this with no results. I've even proven where they have deactivated my listings saying they are priced too high where they are LOWER than other sellers (shipping cost included, same condition, and my ETA is actually faster). They allow other sellers to keep listing, but mine are deactivated.
Their awful policies are only topped by their poorly programed bots.
What makes these deactivations so nonsensical is that it eliminates customer choice and the potential for Amazon to earn commission on the sale. There's no hidden fees for customers on Amazon's marketplace - JUST LET THE CUSTOMERS DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO ORDER.
If they think the price is too high, then they won't order it. How is eliminating the option to order a better solution?
I have listings that I'm the ONLY seller and they deactivate them. Those books now show as "currently unavailable" and no one can order them from anywhere. Is that better than providing customers the option to purchase at my price?
Good luck with seller "support". Banging your head against the wall is likely a better solution
I'm sorry I couldn't provide any help and just went on a rant. Another day on Amazon!
