Hit over 30K sales mark 9 months ago - Only put tax number in Amazon now

Hi, I exceeded the 30,000 sales mark over 9 months ago. I am in Canada - I had no clue that I needed to input my GST number into Amazon. I just put it in today, but I am way over this 30K mark now.

Come tax time, I will need the tax back that Amazon charged on my orders. How do I get this?

Help!!!

You won't be getting it back from Amazon, as you did not have your tax numbers uploaded, they were not collecting tax on your behalf.

You will have to try and convince the CRA that Amazon already remitted the tax, but once again, it wasn't on your behalf.

Best to get an accountant that is good at dealing with Amazon issues.
