Hey @Seller_MrGp1l2hQKaKp,
Tatiana from Amazon here. I can't speak to the experiences of other sellers, but I wanted to provide some general information on A/B testing that might help explain why the drop in sales could be happening.
The purpose of A/B testing is actually to determine how new content will perform in comparison to your evergreen (existing) content. If you are seeing a drop in sales while testing your B content, this could mean that it is not as effective as the content you are utilizing currently.
Take a look at these Seller University pages on A/B testing. They talk about understanding the significance of your experiments and how to perform a proper experiment.
- Manage Your Experiments overview
- Manage Your Experiments: plan a test of your listing content
- Manage Your Experiments: set up a test for listing content
- Manage Your Experiments: interpret results for listing content you’ve tested
It's also important to remember that drops in sales can happen for a variety of reasons outside of A/B testing. Sales can be affected by seasonal changes, other content changes outside of A/B testing, or just a general shift in customer shopping behavior.
I would definitely take a look at the "interpreting results" Seller U video. I think that will help give you a lot of insight into why your sales may have dropped and how the B content may have affected them.
Let me know if you have any other questions about this! I'm happy to help provide further clarification.
