Bringing a US listing over to the Canada platform
I only sell on the Canada platform. I do not have the Unified account, only a Canadian account. I want to list products using the US platform listings. Is it possible to do that?
My distributor sells me products from the US but there are not listings on the Canada platform for some of the products. The listings on the US platform are great and I would prefer just to transfer them over. Can it be done?

You must add those products thru "Add Products" tab and use the US ASIN. You will need to set them up from scratch. Amazon will then merge the 2 ASIN entries in the background.

Hello @Seller_Z9tA7Q88fqz6d,
Thank you for your question about using US platform listings on the Canadian marketplace. This is a common concern for sellers who source products from the US but sell exclusively in Canada.
Here's what you need to know:
- Direct Transfer: Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to transfer listings from the US platform to the Canadian platform if you only have a Canadian account.
- Creating New Listings: You'll need to create new listings on the Canadian platform for these products, as mentioned by @Seller_dotifYADa0BWY. However, you can use the information from the US listings as a reference.
- GTIN (Global Trade Item Number): If the products have a GTIN (like a UPC or EAN), you may be able to use Amazon's catalog to pull in some basic product information when creating your listing.
- Manual Creation: For products without existing Canadian listings, you'll need to manually input the product details, including title, bullet points, description, and images.
Steps you can take:
- Use the "Add a Product" tool in Seller Central Canada.
- If the product exists in Amazon's global catalog, search by GTIN to potentially pre-fill some information.
- For completely new listings, choose "Create a new product listing" and input all required details.
- Ensure all information complies with Canadian regulations and Amazon.ca policies.
For other sellers in similar situations:
- Have you found efficient ways to create Canadian listings for US products?
- What challenges have you faced when listing US-sourced products in Canada?
Remember, while you can use US listings as a reference, ensure all information is accurate and compliant with Canadian regulations and Amazon.ca policies. It's also a good practice to localize your listings for the Canadian market where appropriate (e.g., using Canadian English spellings, metric measurements).
If you frequently list US products in Canada, you might want to consider setting up a unified North American account in the future, which could streamline this process.
