Returned Item catogorized as "Vendor Returns" under Event in Inventory Ledger?

I had a product returned and upon inspection, it was deemed "defective," however Amazon did not put it into my unfulfillable inventory so I could create a removal order. I messaged Amazon and they sent me a link to my Inventory Ledger. Under Event it says "VendorReturns." Does anyone know exactly what that means? Does that mean they automatically sent it back to me as the vendor? How long can these VendorReturns take to get back? I can't find any info on this. Thanks!

yes, vendor returns is a removal order.
