time zones for order cutoff?
We're entirely SFP and I'm considering making a change to our order fulfillment settings, because I think the way they're currently configured is causing our product detail page speed metrics to be lower than they should be:
- Within our order fulfillment settings, our time zone is (UTC-4:00) America/New_York
- We have warehouses in ET, CT and PT
- Within carrier specific preferences, our order cutoff time is 2 p.m.
- Does this mean 2 p.m. ET or 2 p.m. local time at each warehouse? I'm guessing the former, but I want to be sure before making any changes.
- I'm trying to avoid a scenario where our UPS pickup in FL is, say, 3 p.m. ET, a customer in FL places a Prime order at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Amazon says, "It's before 2 p.m. local time on the West Coast, and you have a warehouse there, so the ship-by date is today"
(I know that on-time shipment is no longer an SFP metric - but even so, there's still the Late Shipment Rate metric that we all must meet to avoid account deactivation.)

Since the start of October our SFP Speed Metrics are down. We have made no changes to our settings. Our metrics have always been very high. Seems like maybe Amazon having issue calculating this?
We are trying to think of ways to fix this and one would be to make the cutoff time later. We would like to give our west coast warehouse a later cutoff time but Amazon only allows one cutoff time for every warehouse which is dumb. We should be able to have a much later cutoff time for a warehouse in Pacific Time vs Easter Time. This system seems to favor companies just located or ship out of western time zones.
Or, am I wrong and there is a way to give our Pacific warehouse a later cutoff?
