I wish I had known two things:

  1. to get the "Black Friday" or "cyber Monday" deal banner it has to be a prime exclusive deal, dang it. I wish this was super clear when setting a promo. Maybe I missed it because I don't normally run event promos, but having a warning that I wouldn't recieve the banner would have benefited both Amazon and my store and it is a simple switch of the settings.
  2. that Amazon's AI would nuke a listing at 8am on Black Friday, after only providing a 48 hour appeal window that Amazon could itself not even meet. That it wouldn't be resolved until today and we didn't need to waste precious time processing additional front-loaded units for this ASIN. It outlined just how poor Amazon's appeal process is and the guilty until proven innocent policy is, even in absolutely clear as day cases. It is egregious behaviour that has a cost to both me and Amazon, it is not rational or logical.

The event was a disaster because Amazon piled our leader products into the listings and beat us out of the market. Nice job, Amazon - final result for 2025 = 75% decline in sales for our store.
