New Seller No Buy Box
Hi ,
I am a new seller and just received my products to amazon FBA in Canada. My listing looks active in Seller Center. I was able to find my product with ASIN search in amazon.ca. Even though, I am the only seller I am not able to Win the Buy Box. In the Featured % Box in the seller Account its showing 30% and asking to drop the price. I am already very close to Breakeven.
I know this issue might have been faced by at least few. Is there is a way I can get the buy box without bringing the price down. Do you think I need to drop the price to get the Buy Box then increase the price gradually or wait for couple more days with my current price. May be as a new seller it will need to complete the Indexing, and might take few more days. Do you think waiting couple more days will get me the buy box with my current pricing.
Any other strategies or correction that can try with my listing to get it fixed earliest possible. As I am selling a heavy item the storage cost will eat up my margin.

if you are the only seller and it doesn't give you the buy box, Amazon has determined you don't have a competitive price that's worthy of the buy box. You'll have to lower your price to match outside competitors or Amazon competitive pricing.

I would recommend waiting before doing any price cutting.
If you are the only seller -- not having the buy box is not much of a disadvantage. If someone wants to buy, they will.
Your big disadvantage is being a "new" seller, some buyers will shy away from a seller with no track record, although using FBA will help calm buyer anxiety.
You could setup a temporary price drop -- amazon.ca has several ways of doing this -- a weekend sale or a holiday sale where a lower price is set for a short time range (via Manage All Inventory) -- amazon also has coupon program (check out the details in the Learn section of sellercentral).
