Late Shipment not actually late?

I have a "Late Shipment" that is not threating my account health. I buy shipping from Amazon and drop off the packages myself to the local UPS store. I have the receipt that shows I dropped it off at 9:34 AM EST on Jan 8th. Their report shows first scan at 13:39, which is 1:39pm. Thee required drop off time was 1/8/2025 at 7:59:59.

Questions I am trying to get answered are - what is the time zone they are using? Are the expected ship dates actually ship by HOURS?

Just looking for clarity

Thanks!!

Hi @Seller_lLtttYMsFFfz6,

Under "Shipment events tab" at Track your shipments, Amazon explains that they now rely entirely on carrier tracking information, not drop-off receipts: "The 'Mark as shipped' button has been removed because we now use tracking information to accurately update your shipment status."

This means that even though you dropped off the package at 9:34 AM EST, the system is using the carrier's first scan time (1:39 PM) to determine the shipment status.

For future shipments, you might want to chat with your local UPS store about their scanning procedures and timing.

Best regards, Michael

I have 2 cases regarding this, the first one was closed by Amazon stating that the ship by date was Actually 1/7/25 so the closed the case, which I have proof that the ship by date was 1/7/25

So I reopened the case under 17127292091 asking how they can change the ship by date one month after the order was shipped?

I am very confused by all of this and feeling like Amazon is not playing fair

Any Mods out there that can help clarify all of this would be greatly appreciated
