Removal orders from the US, shipped back to Canada
Hello,
Our warehouses are located in Canada. However, we are selling in both Canada and the US.
I was wondering how removal orders work for the inventory in the US with the intention of sending it back to Canada. Can Amazon do crossborder removal orders from the US to our Canadian warehouse?
We have 3PL partners in the US as well but we would rather send it back to Canada. I understand crossborder can create duty problems but I was wondering how Amazon manages it.
At first, I saw other sellers mention that Amazon does not do removal orders from the US to Canada but then I contacted Seller Support and I was told otherwise :
''To answer your query "if our removal address on the US marketplace is a CANADIAN address, will it work properly?" Yes, if a removal order was made in a US marketplace however the address was in Canada (vice versa), it will work normally.''
Also, to confirm Seller Support's response, when going through ''fulfilled by Amazon settings'', even on the US marketplace the ''ship back address'' for unfulfillable products can be a location in Canada. Therefore, it seems that Amazon can ship your unfulfillable items from the US to Canada.
However, manual removal orders in the US only give us the option of sending back products in the US. Screenshots below.
The only reasonable assumption that I can make is that unfulfillable inventory (damaged, defective, used, etc.) can removed cross border while fulfillable inventory has to go back to a warehouse in the US? It might be a tax/duty thing.
Anyone has more specific input to confirm my theory ?

No, they can not. You will have to have it shipped to a third party warehouse in the US which can then package it up, ship it to you and deal with the brokerage. Amazon does not handle that.
