Seller account linked to personal amazon prime

I opened a seller account that is linked to my personal Amazon Prime account. I want to deactivate the seller account and reopen it with a different email address, but have the same name, debt card, etc... so that it will be separate from my Amazon Prime account. Can I do that or will it cause issues?

You are allowed one account per lifetime. It will most likely cause issues because they will find them "related".

If you don't want Prime on the buying account associated with your seller account address it from the buyer side.

DO NOT close your buying account. DO NOT close your selling account. Closing your buying account would be the greater of those two evils.

You may open another buying account and purchase a Prime membership there.

But there is no inherent reason why you cannot have the Prime attached to the buying account associated with the seller account. You must not use Prime to purchase something for resale, but then you wouldn't be sourcing from Amazon anyway, right? The only time that might legitimately happen would be with used items, and then -- if Prime is an option -- it should not be used.

There is even an option if you have Prime on one account to associate it with other accounts as well, so you are paying only once, but have the benefits regardless of which account you use (not sure of the details; have never done this myself, just seen the resources mentioned to do it when I had Prime on one account).

But do not delete the seller account nor the associated buyer account. And note that you want a buyer account for the business, as well as one for personal use, to help keep things separate. While you won't be using Amazon for sourcing, it can be a good place to purchase supplies such as printer paper and shipping boxes.
