How to stop returns via UPS

Hello,

Previously all my returns have been sent via USPS, the same method used to ship them. My last 2 returns, including one in transit, have been returned via UPS.

I sell clothing, so an inherent high return rate.

The completed UPS return cost me an additional $25 in additional "adjustment" shipping fees (and was an item-swap fraud on top of everything) and I don't know what the additional charge will be for the incoming return, if it manages to get to me.

I use a PO Box for my business address (non-negotiable), which obviously doesn't take UPS returns.

How do I manage to keep returns via USPS, or is this the end of my Amazon career? Return rates already reduce profit to almost non-existent, I can't add in an extra $25+ fee even if it is only some returns.

This was a previous problem that was addressed....now it has returned. I am getting returns via UPS and the package weight is 6-7 lbs when the item itself weighs 10 oz. It shipped out via USPS and the return is via UPS. The label amount charged to us is $16.72.

Now, today I even get a FBA return and the same issue. Sent via UPS and the package weight is 7 lbs. Again, this should be returned for 1 lb or less, not 7 lbs.

I cannot file a Safety Claim because it was not FBM. Can mod look into this please? The return ID is

SHdgLhzgCZ

A little help please? Thank you

Hello @Seller_SYZxl9lNCdhvA and @Seller_Z9BVf4uRvGAhJ

I am following up on your questions about prepaid return labels.

Prepaid return shipping services

UPS and USPS provide return shipping for seller-fulfilled orders through Buy Shipping services.

USPS First Class mail ships most items under one pound and UPS Ground ships items from 1 to 150 lb.

The most likely reason for the carrier adjustment on the return shipment is that the return address is not eligible to receive UPS shipments and a $22 address correction fee was added.

What is the weight of the recent item that was returned? Was it over or under one pound?

Can you share an Order ID, or you prefer, open a Case with the details of that return?

Hello @Seller_Z9BVf4uRvGAhJ Can you please provide more details for the FBA return shipment you report was shipped via UPS? I do not see any removals with the ID you mentioned.

For FBM shipments: if you are a seller that did not receive a return shipment back, you may be eligible to file a SAFE-T Claim. Please review the below link for more details.

EXACTLY! I just spent second day each time one hour on the phone with UPS rep to no avail.

This needs immediate attention from Amazon.

Returns can not be processed by UPS when there is a PO box return address.

I have it, it's been my return address for the past two decades. And it's gonna stay.

I have a special account with USPS for return packages so they charge my account when there's a postage due on a return package and I don't have to go to pay & pick up a package during a daytime business hours but I stop there at night after I deliver my packages to a loading dock and have my end of the day worksheet scanned and stamped.

Amazon MUST NOT let customers print out the return shipping label with UPS!!!!!!! when return address is PO box!!!!!!

Return packages are a big multi-million business and UPS wants a piece of it even though they are fully aware they will not be able to deliver to the PO box. Yet this fact doesn't stop them from accepting and scanning the packages with PO box return address.
