Guide to Becoming Eligible To Sell Per Country
Is there an in-depth, consolidated guide anywhere that details what a Seller needs to become eligible to utilize Amazon FBA shipping per country?
An example would be if I open Amazon Mexico and try to create a shipment to FBA and I get the popup:
"Shipment creation has been blocked (RFC is required)
You do not have the required tax information to send inventory to fulfillment centers in Mexico. Please provide the necessary tax information on the tax information page, and then try again."
I research exactly what is needed to get an RFC number, and in short I need to visit in-person a Mexican Tax Authority (SAT). I can't do it online (from what I can find).
For the UK I need to register for a VAT ID, fill out a few forms to do so, etc. and "have a bank account that must be either issued by a bank or managed by a Payment Service Provider that is part of the Payment Service Provider Program." and my current US bank was not eligible for this.
I'm registered through Amazon for quite a few countries, I am just a bit overwhelmed trying to find the actual requirements to ship to FBA for them all.
PSA: I am aware of the Amazon Global Selling option, which is a nice feature but my end goal would be having stock available in each country's FBA distribution chains.

Hi @Seller_oSnZZzzkGgmf7,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. In reading through you post, I believe that Global selling will be the best fit as this will allow you to use FBA in each country you are listed in. I am posting more about the 2 options available, along with links to resources for both.
There are two methods of selling globally:
- FBA Export enables you to list your FBA products on Amazon or your own website. Then Amazon exports your orders to customers around the world. Review the link above for more information on this program.
- Amazon Global Selling enables you to list and sell your products on several of our websites around the world. Ship your inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers in the countries you listed in, and we deliver to the customer for you.
For Global Selling, If you are already selling on any of our Amazon marketplaces, visit the sell globally dashboard to register and start selling on another marketplace. After creating your global selling account, you can link your accounts across multiple regions, manage offers across marketplaces using the Build International Listings tool, ship internationally, and customize your selling plan.
I am dropping some additional resources below that I recommend you review. These resources have more information and steps that you can follow to achieve selling globally.
