Amzon Canada is a scam place. Buyer get their free stuff and Amazon helps them with unfair AZ

Hello,

we have shipped an item exactly as described. The buyer request to return and we provided prepaid return label in timely manner, we also replied to the buyer that they can return it and label uploaded. Nothing happened. Nothing returned. Later the buyer opened an AZ claim and it was under review since October 22 till November 05, 2025. Amazon never asked us any additional information. So today we got an email that case was closed in the favor of this scammer and and he never even replied us back. Label still shows no action. We also upload new label again, but still nothing happens!

WHy AMazon does that? Why no real humans check cases but seems like replaced by stupid AI!

Pelase help with that case!

Same situation again - order made and shipped on time.

Canpar shipping, Ontario → BC.

Tracking clearly shows: “Delays due to Canada Post strike.”

Amazon reverses the transaction and refunds the buyer while the shipment is still en route, only a 4-day delay past the estimated delivery date, and it’s being delivered today.

So does Amazon’s A-to-Z Guarantee for FBM just ignore shipping or carrier delays and make the seller liable for everything?

-$329 just like that, huh, Amazon?

Also, we have laws in Canada that transcend Amazon’s internal A-to-Z policies. By refunding the buyer and closing the case without regard for facts, Amazon effectively exposes the buyer to civil liability.

Buyer refusing communication. If our product is not returned or paid for, $329 is well within the range for us to file in Small Claims Court against the buyer directly.

You can do one thing if any buyer opens a return request simply close it. You do not need to provide a prepaid return label as there is no guarantee that the customer will actually return the item. In this situation the seller loses both the item and the label cost.

After you close the return request the buyer will usually open an A-to-Z claim. Amazon will then ask for the seller’s return address. You just need to provide your return address and submit it to the A-to-Z claim. Amazon will forward your return address to the buyer. If the buyer does not respond within a few days the A-to-Z claim will be closed with no defect rate.

At that point it becomes the buyer’s responsibility whether they want to return the item or not since they must pay for the return shipping. This way you can protect yourself from losses.
