Returns window to be extended for 2024 holidays
Similar to previous years, our standard returns window will be temporarily extended in anticipation of customers shopping early for the holidays.
Our 2024 Extended Holiday Returns policy requires that items bought between November 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, can be returned until January 31, 2025, except for Apple brand products, which can be returned until January 15, 2025.
This policy applies to seller-fulfilled, FBA, and Amazon Retail orders.
Although the returns window for orders will be extended, returns eligibility for all orders remains the same.
For more information and to view returns eligibility for each category, go to About our returns policies.

Why. I can only wonder why.
So that Amazon has more of the same chance to promote fraud, and further allow stealing from Sellers?

YAH!!! More time for fraud and "incorrect Item Description" returns that are refunded on first scan and then returned open and mangled....Only to have me jump through hoops to file a Safe-T-Claim to *maybe* get 20% of the purchase price......Or the best one:: "Ordered By mistake" when you took my last one on 1 December and wanted to return on 29 January so I will not be able to sell until next Holiday Season......Do the sellers a favor and do away with the ludicrous RFS policy.........
Paul.

Appreciate the Nov 1st this year. Have to say, the only requirement you have for returns otherwise is....well...nothing.
We need, desperately, no returns on holiday items after the holiday.

You might as well not sell any holiday items the customer uses them until Christmas is over and then wants to return the used items and they get a full refund and your left with products you can’t sell because they use them and some are damaged and they still get the money back. All you do is promote people to steal from sellers I would like to know how many dollars of our money you give back to dishonest customers. It is not your money your giving away or products you can’t resell so it is real easy to make these rules. I know someone that shops Amazon and gets 90% of what they buy for nothing and brags about it all they do is complain about different things and they get the money back and never have to return a thing this is what you promote. I have some real good customers on Amazon but rotten Apples are out weighing the good and doesn’t look like it going to change anytime soon.

Has the RFS Auto-Bot been programmed to recognize Amazon's Return policies yet?
1. Products with active digital code included are Non-Returnable.
Make sure the return tab is not available for these purchases. Very east to do.
2. Many food products are Non-Returnsable.
Make sure the return tab is not available for these purchases. Very east to do
3. When buyer selects No Longer Need for the return, 3rd party sellers are allowed to deduct the OUTWARD SHIPPING, RETURN SHIPPING, and 20% RESTOCKING FEE from the return.
Make sure this is deducted before issuing an automatic full RFS refund. Very easy to do.
If this has not been done as of yet, it may be time for some programmers to meet their day two.

Grateful for the Nov - Jan return window vs the old Oct - Jan.
That said, categories like Holiday Decor or Food should be excluded from the extended returns window.

I must say that last year I sold some products for Christmas and when Christmas was over a lot of customers returned the products, they enjoyed Christmas and I got some pain!
