Our biggest challenge is inefficient, templated Seller Support.

Too much time is spent trying to get real issues investigated. Too often, cases get handled with copy/paste responses that don’t address the root cause, then they’re bounced between teams like a ping-pong balls.

When support doesn’t show intent or ownership to solve the core problem, it becomes impossible to resolve anything complex (ads delivery issues, catalog problems, disbursement holds, inventory issues, etc.).

At the same time, fees keep increasing while the underlying issues remain.

The current support experience often feels designed to gatekeep access rather than help sellers fix problems and scale.

What would make the biggest difference:

  • A clearer case ownership model (one point of contact until resolution)
  • Support agents empowered to investigate (not just quote policy with templates)
  • Better escalation paths to higher levels of support to get out of endless templated loops.
  • Responses that include specific evidence (what triggered the issue, what data was reviewed, what exact fix is needed)

Until support becomes more accountable and diagnostic, the biggest obstacle to growth is not ads or pricing - it’s the inability to reliably solve operational issues when they happen.

Today - Seller Support feels like form over substance. Sellers need substance over form.

I have been trying to sell one SKU since March 2025, the listing has been active for 4 of those on months due to inactivity caused by your system and the most horrible customer support. Although my fees.and storage costs continued to rise and I still had to pay them. I have done nothing but booze money. The only people making money by the billions is amazon. I now have to spend more money to get my inventory back. Even that process is long and unnecessarily difficult.

False flags of bilingual safety labelling by Amazon's AI. 128 listings have been taken down for bi lingual safety info, despite all the evidence needed to unblock the listing sent that is legal in Canada to sell, but Amazon is not reviewing any of our cases. This started back in May. Amazon's customers have a poor buying experience and have to buy elsewhere.

1) 70% of FBA returns are marked "buyer damaged" when this is not even vaguely true. I know this because often I have the FBA returns sent to me and they are ALWAYS in perfect condition. You charge 2 x as much as a regular carrier to return the items to the seller, and 2 x the value of the item to "dispose" of them. But you don't dispose them. Instead, you make it financially impossible for items to be sent back to us so you can keep our items and resell them as yours. No more FBA for me, what a scam. 2) Your bots and seller support do not recognize case packs. These are all taken down for high pricing error and support refuses to reinstate because they are not trained. 3) Refunds to the buyer from our money because we did not buy your labels is BS. Even when the carrier shows a photo of the buyer holding the item. - buyer refunded from sellers account. The only one here with growth is amazon, all because of the sellers giving up more and more. Oh, did I mention that amazon is now taking 15-1/2% for seller fees starting this week?

I suggest reform of the buyer return system

1. 20-50% of returns can be solved by having the customer contact the business before returning the item. I suggest adding a "contact seller" option that must be dealt with before the items can be returned.

After reading some of the "return reasons" for the items, some of the return reasons clearly are not reasons to return the items but rather the customer was confused about how to use the item. This is not because the instructions were not clear but rather the customer did not read the instructions.

For example, some say the product did not have a smell, but thats because they need to "touch" it first to get the smell to activate.

Other customers returned items because they smeared way tooo much item on their face and complained it was not absorbing after hours, simply because they lathered their face up.

A simple convo between the seller and customer can clear up some issues they have and prevent some returns and at least prevent some negative feedback.

2. Suggestion to add a "public reply to review" option.

Some people leave really wrong reviews, sometimes these reviews are absolutely unfair and contain parts that might be false or confusion.

For example, I have had people say my items label fell apart in the shower, I sometimes wish to say that the instructions do say to keep the item out of the shower to preserve its quality.

3. Lowering the fees for smaller items would be nice.

4. Option to include a "comment" when reporting incorrect feedback.

5. "The Amazon fears of policy changes". So Amazon implements a lot of policy changes, which is understandable. However nothing is not fearful and giving of a heart attack than waking up to a "warning your account has fallen bellow critical and could be suspended" alert.

As we all know, few months ago we were all asked to register our businesses with the government, it caused meltdowns and panic and worries. It would be nice if amazon sent out alerts 2-4 months in advance, that they either are "think of of implementing new changes" or "after 2-4 months they will expect buyers to ____ so please start to prepare" as a pre-warning before the actual warning comes in.

Similar to how the pre-warning about the "French and English labels" went out last year 60 days in advance which was a nice email an allowed for preparation before there was actually any warnings put on the account.

6. The automatic returning of "used" items to inventory. You really never know what the customers do to them.... even though the staff check them, at least 4 times after recalling inventory, I have found half used products mixed in with sellable inventory. Amazon U S allows returnless refund, Canada should adopt the same.
