Ridiculous Restricted Product Policy Violations

Has anyone else noticed the ramps up of Restricted Product Policy Violations over the last year or so?

I am getting some of the most ridiculous claims lately, none of which have been valid and I am wonder what research Amazon is doing, if any, to determine this info before putting the claims onto our seller accounts?

I just got one for a perfume that has been out of stock for sometime now, claiming it contains lidocaine, which may be a prescription-only active ingredient that prevents pain by blocking the signals at the nerve endings in the skin. When has anyone ever heard of a perfume used to relives pain? Especially one of a major Premium brand.

A simple google search of the item would have put this claim to rest, but instead we now have to have a back and forth with Amazon to prove their claim is false.

Anyone have any advise or pointers on how to avoid this issue??

This one issue could have been prevented by the simple practice of regularly deleting all inactive listings.

The list of items and ingredients continues to grow daily.

My latest list of banned brands is now over 75 brands and growing almost daily.

Amazon is not a place for small businesses that don't have their own bands OR have LOAs from every item they sell.

It's more of a swamp than a jungle now.

The "Lidocaine" bot has been around for a while.

A quick SEARCH brings up a ton of posts.

The Minoxidil bot BITES TOO!

Best it to reply to the case with images of the product and a pic of the ingredients ZOOMED in.

Add the Ingredients image to the detail page.

That usually does it.

We just had a product that has sold for several years become Dangerous Good so this profit vampire of a company can soak us for more fees with their hazmat storage. We obviously went FBM and turned our professional plan to individual. Amazon is crumbling these are the actions of a desperate company full of people who have lived in the sunshine of a good economy those days are long over.

If you have any certified documentation of ingredients, you could use that. The goal is to prove what you have vs what they say you have.

That being said, I am still in a circle on some listings taken down for being prohibited when clearly they are not, and provide government certified proof of what the materials are.

There could be a word on there that can trigger it but really kinda baffled at it. Have you talked to Account Health? They might be able to find the trigger. Haven't had the best luck with them finding answers but worth a shot

I just got 6 violations on the apparel belts that I sell and that were identified by Amazon as "plants and seeds" jajaj. This is indeed ridiculous! Amazon is becoming the twilight zone.

I started getting policy violations for selling SEEDS_AND_PLANTS and I am selling car stickers. Thank you amazon for keeping us busy constantly.

we just received 10 last night. These listings are for microphones, and accessories for microphones. The policy violation says if we’re selling seeds they must be in the seeds category. There is no mention of seeds anywhere in the listings. It’s bizarre.

Here is the last 8 months dealing with Amazon in a rant I just did. It aligns with you more or less just so you know you're not alone. Hopefully something I did will help you.
