Having been restricted for listing all books for almost a year... No solutions yet

Started from almost 1 year ago, I have been restricted for listing and sending inventories for everything under books category. I've contacted seller support multiple times from Seller Central, but their answer is it's an automated process and I can only wait until you get the "apply to sell" option.

It has been almost a year but the status never changed. I really don't know how long do I need to wait for. Also the reason is never clear. If there is a clear reason, at least I know what I can do to make the restriction lifted sooner. My account is healthy and has no issues. There are tons of inventories I need to send out, very frustrating so far. @Ricardo_Amazon i can see you helped many sellers with similar issues, please help.

Good Morning @Seller_kCENHvZ8zJ5KI,

I see that you have created topics about this in the past:

Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products and in some instances restrictions and policies change. While you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction.

I unfortunately do not have insights into the selling applications/brand approval process as the team does not disclose that information to us. At this time, the only way to be able to list these items would be to see if:

  • There is an option to apply to sell through Seller Central. To do this, go to Catalog > Add a Product. Next find the ASIN you would like to sell and then apply to sell if there is an option. I'd recommend ensuring you meet the sourcing guidelines -->HERE<-- and invoicing guidelines -->HERE<--
  • If you have a relationship with the brand/publisher, you can to be added as an authorized 3rd party reseller through Brand Registry (but the brand has to add you on their end). Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.

I know this is not the news you were hoping for, but please let us know if you have any additional questions regarding the information shared above.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
