Nothing in this ASIN # B00GYTEDN6 gives any hint as to what might have triggered Amazon's poorly implemented algorithms. I even ran that listing through ChatGPT, which guessed that its long presence in Amazon's catalog made it susceptible to contamination.
This seems as good a place as any to compile a partial list of the damage that Amazon's bots-gone-wild have inflicted on sellers:
- Flagging an automotive air filter as offensive, forbidden content (this thread).
- Putting accounts at risk by flagging normal seller messages as policy violations.
- Flagging sporting goods bearing an animal trademark as dangerous live animals.
- Injecting bogus and misleading attributes at the top of sellers' listings.
- Reassigning products to irrelevant and confusing "browse node" categories.
- Splitting reviews in categories where any human would see it makes no sense.
- Assigning erroneous geographic restrictions.
Given that the costs and frustrations of these errors are mainly borne by sellers, I don't seem Amazon applying the resources to fix those algorithms any time soon.
However, those flawed methodologies are also driving the rapid ensh*ttification of this platform from the buyer's perspective. Unless Amazon addresses that, its long-term outlook becomes much less certain.

I sell power tools. Almost 30+ of my listing have been removed with the same policy violation. I couldn't care less to try and fix it as the mental energy I will expend dealing with Seller Support and the reduction in my lifespan is not worth whatever peanuts I will make after Amazon takes their cut and loses half my inventory anyways.
I consider it a blessing everytime Amazon's bots remove my listings as that gives me to time and reminders to focus on selling my stuff elsewhere.

You can get these false disgusting violations removed off my account. Another one got added today. The review on the first one has been ongoing for almost 4 days now. It shouldn't be that hard for you to make a decision regarding this.
And sending threatening emails regarding deactivating selling account and confiscating funds after 9PM at night just as about to go to bed. How do you expect your selling parts to get a good nights sleep for their wellbeing and health when you start accusing us of child porn right before bedtime?

I got a pop-up survey from Amazon asking whether I was concerned about Amazon suddenly removing one of my best-selling listings. Of course I said I was very concerned, since that is what they do.

Over the years I've been rattled by so many absurd, menacing Amazon messages—and lost so much sleep over them—that I no longer check Amazon-related email after 5:00 PM.
For the sake of your sanity, I suggest that every seller do the same.
And yes, Amazon's senseless, abusive seller messaging behavior perfectly embodies the Meat-Grinder Rule.
