2 DIFFERNT AMAZON SELLER ACCOUNTS IN 2 DIFFERENT REGIONS/CONTINENTS

Hey Amazon Team and dear Sellers!

I had currently opened my Amazon Seller Central GLOBAL account. I haven't listed any products or started any selling process yet as it has been less than a week since I opened this account. Now, I am thinking that before selling in global markets I should start selling in my country's Amazon market. Therefore, I am thinking of opening a new Seller central Account in my country i.e. India.

My question is, "Will by opening a new Seller Central Account for my region, Amazon can suspend my current global seller central account or not? "

Looking forward for your help!

Thank you

I can't say for sure but I would say that your current account would be suspended as well as the freshly created one - if you sell in the same categories.

If you have a "GLOBAL" account you should be able to add that MARKETPLACE in your actual account, that's what I believe. Do some research about this.

Hello @Seller_vPyH6AYUU7cdp,

Thank you for posting your inquiry into our multiple accounts policy.

Now, I am thinking that before selling in global markets I should start selling in my country's Amazon market. Typically, if you are interested in selling globally, please ensure that you are following the correct processes to expand your current store to these other regions. You may additionally be required to complete verification in each region you establish a store, thus I would follow what @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC suggested and research different requirements for different regions, specifically tax requirements or exemptions as an example since it has caused issued in the past with others.

My question is, "Will by opening a new Seller Central Account for my region, Amazon can suspend my current global seller central account or not? "

Regarding to possibility of deactivation, this goes hand in hand with what I mentioned above about the verification process. Per our code of conduct - multiple accounts policy, If one of your stores is deactivated, they can "all" be deactivated until the original issue has been resolved.

  • You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

This does not only apply at the time of registration but through the history of your store, if something comes up, it can result in the deactivation impacting other stores.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
