Listed below are upcoming changes to Amazon’s program policies.
As part of our efforts to make fee categories easier to understand, we are introducing fee category guidelines. These guidelines provide detailed lists of products mapped to each fee category, allowing you to quickly find the fee category for a specific item. In addition, we are adding the referral fees reimbursement policy as a new program policy to provide additional clarity around claiming a reimbursement for disputed referral fee categorization.
This change will go into effect on June 30, 2022. For more information about fee categories, go to Understanding fee categories.
Effective March 11, 2022, we are not accepting registrations from Russia or Belarus. For more information, see Countries accepted for seller registration.

Tax rules and legislation are constantly evolving worldwide, and seller feedback helped us recognize that these tax rules can sometimes be confusing or difficult to relate to the services Amazon makes available to you. To help, we are publishing an informational help page "Canadian sales taxes on Amazon.ca seller fees" to help you better understand the taxes charged.
Fulfilment fees have had applicable tax applied and collected by Amazon as required by Canadian tax rules since 2012, while QST has been charged on Selling on Amazon fees to sellers in Quebec without a QST number since 2019. The help page “Canadian sales taxes on Amazon.ca seller fees” is being created for sellers based on seller feedback and is purely informational.
Our Tax Policies are being updated with additional information related to tax treatments that could apply based on your use of Amazon services and selling in Amazon stores.
