Update on restock and storage quantity limits in Canada

We continue to operate at reduced capacity. However, based on updated guidance from local health authorities, we have raised the restock and storage quantity limits. The updated limits are enabled to help maintain inventory levels that support up to three months of sales for your products.

Frequently asked questions

Does the change in quantity limits affect marketplaces other than Canada?

The current operating constraints are unique to Canada.

Is there something wrong with the recommended restock limits? The amount that I can create in a shipment seems low relative to my sales.

The recommended restock and storage limits were adjusted to account for current operating capacity at our fulfilment centres. They are enabled to help maintain inventory levels that support up to three months of sales for your products.

The low restock limits are affecting my sales. What else can I do?

You can increase sales by fulfilling your own orders. If you have FBA inventory in the US, you can use Remote Fulfilment with FBA.

How will Amazon tell me when fulfilment centres are no longer constrained so that I can send more inventory?

We’ll communicate updates to storage quantity limits through Seller Central.

Are my storage limits informed by my Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score?

Yes. Higher IPI scores usually indicate that you’re managing your inventory more efficiently, which can lead to optimized sales and minimized storage costs. For more information, go to your Inventory performance dashboard and IPI frequently asked questions.
