Cribs, cradles and bassinets

If you list products on our store, you must comply with all federal, provincial, territorial and local laws and our policies applicable to those products and product listings, including this policy.

Cribs, cradles, bassinets and bedside sleepers covered by this policy

Cribs

A crib is designed to provide a sleeping accommodation for a child. It has sides that confine the child and can be used alone or with an accessory. A crib has a sleeping surface area that is greater than 550,000 mm2.

Cradles

A cradle is a small bed designed to provide a sleeping accommodation for a child. It has sides that confine the child and can be used alone or with an accessory. A cradle has a sleeping surface area that is greater than 400,000 mm2 but less than or equal to 550,000 mm2.

Bassinets

A bassinet is a small bed that provides a sleeping accommodation for a child. It has sides that confine the child and can be used alone or with an accessory. A bassinet has a sleeping surface area that is 400,000 mm2 or less. Bedside sleepers and Moses baskets are typically defined as bassinets.

Bedside sleepers

A bedside sleeper is similar to a bassinet, in that it is a small bed that provides sleep accommodation for a child. However, bedside sleepers have a single side that can be removed or moved out of the way, so that the bed can be placed against the side of the caregiver’s bed.
