Why isn't my bank account information accepted?

Here are some common reasons why bank account information is rejected:

  • Your bank number, branch number, or bank account number were mistyped. Check the numbers and re-enter them.
  • You entered the numbers from the bottom of a deposit slip instead of a cheque. Although these are often the same, in some cases they may not be. Please re-enter the numbers using a cheque.
  • Your bank is not located in a country supported by Amazon Currency Converter or Hyperwallet.
  • You provided a routing number for wire transfers instead of for Automated Clearing House (ACH) or electronic funds transfers. Please contact your bank for assistance.
  • Your bank is not ACH-enabled. Please use a bank that is ACH-enabled.
