Managing incorrect or missing fitment data

If you discover incorrect fitment data

  1. If you discover incorrect fitment data on one of your ASINs and are a direct data provider to Amazon, you can submit a delete record in an ACES .xml file through Amazon Merchant Transport Utility.
  2. If you discover incorrect fitment data on one of your ASINs and use a third-party data provider, you should ask your provider to submit a delete record in an ACES .xml file through Amazon Merchant Transport Utility.
Note: The delete records submitted must exactly match the original addition records that were sent to Amazon in order for the delete to work. Deletions may take up to 1 week to successfully process and reflect on the site. The Providing ACES Data to Amazon Automotive document provides more information about delete records.
  3. If you discover incorrect fitment data on one of your ASINs and do not submit fitment data to Amazon either directly or indirectly, then navigate to Contact us in Seller Central and open a case under Updating product listings. Enter the title of the case as ‘Incorrect fitment data’. In the case, specify the ASIN and the exact vehicle (or vehicles) that is incorrect (including all applicable vehicle attributes – Year, Make, Model, Trim, Engine type, etc.) and provide an authoritative data source proving your assertion (for example, the manufacturer website). This information will be routed to the appropriate team who will remove the incorrect data. Again, after the data is deleted, it will take up to 1 week for the changes to reflect on the site.

If you discover missing fitment data

  1. If you discover missing fitment data on one of your ASINs and are a direct data provider to Amazon, you can submit an add record in an ACES .xml file through Amazon Merchant Transport Utility.
  2. If you discover missing fitment data on one of your ASINs and use a third-party fitment data provider, you should ask your provider to submit an add record in an ACES .xml file through Amazon Merchant Transport Utility.
Note: Additions may take up to 1 week to successfully process and reflect on the site.
  3. If you discover missing fitment data on one of your ASINs and do not submit fitment data to Amazon either directly or indirectly, then navigate to Contact us in Seller Central and open a case. Enter the title of the case as ‘Missing fitment data’. In the case, specify the ASIN and the exact vehicle (or vehicles) that is missing (including all applicable vehicle attributes – Year, Make, Model, Trim, Engine type, etc.) and provide an authoritative data source proving your assertion (for example, the manufacturer website). This information will be routed to the appropriate team who will look into the missing data.
